Metasploitable 2 on VMware Player
Today I will be showing you how to install Metsploitable 2 on VMware Player.
We can download the Metasploitable 2 files from the following website. https://sourceforge.net/projects/metasploitable/
Once the files have downloaded, we can extract the downloaded files into a directory of our choosing. I recommend using 7-zip to extract the files as it’s free and easy to use. Once its finished extracting, it should look like this.
Now to install Metasploitable, we just need to click on the .vmx file which will open it up in VMware Player.
We just want to hit I copied It. Because we downloaded the files from the website. VMware player will now take a minute to start up the virtual machine before it starts up.
And now we have Metasploitable installed.
